Complicated enough enterprise to address today in the blogosphere without mentioning the “iPad hurricane” that has swept across the logs leaving everyone’s views. But as I am sure by now you’ve read everything you need to know about Apple’s new device, we propose to relax the mind and discover the augmented reality technology that combines physical and digital world to recreate reality in a mixed way real-time, which undoubtedly is going to talk much in this 2010.
The video that accompanies these lines is called “Augmented (hyper) Reality: Domestic Robocop.” It is the work of Keiichi Matsuda, a professor at the Bartlett School of Architecture in the UK and shows part of the potential that could have augmented reality in a domestic environment. What’s more he saw the hope is around a century and a half. And for those who dream and one of these molluscs in their paella, we can say yes, you can eat, though they say it is not exactly a delicacy.
